Carpenter's Arms, Loughton
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Carpenters Arms is a traditional, back street two bar pub off the main high street in Loughton. When we say 'traditional', we mean '1970s traditional', complete with faux olde worlde beams and aged bench seating. We don't mean it as criticism however and it was nice to see the décor in keeping with the pub's name: carpentry tools filled the walls - planes, spirit levels and the like. A good-looking back garden and plenty of pot plants added to the charm. Drinks wise, the two ales (GK IPA and Adnam's) were on adequate form but with a good atmosphere, friendly service and a jolly bunch of regulars spending an evening here would be no hardship at all.

How to find the Carpenter's Arms pub
From Loughton tube, exit right onto Station Road and at the end it joins with High Road. Forest Road is directly opposite and the pub is a short way down on the left. Note that this is the back way into the pub (and the easiest directions to explain).
