Cart and Horses, Stratford
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Cart and Horses is pretty much a local pub for local people. Don't take that wrong, they're friendly enough, and inoffensive enough - there's no gasp when a new face walks through the door, but there's still something about it. It seems to be set up for the Friday and Saturday night's live music and dancing until 2 am, with acres of open floor surrounded by tables by the walls, and the central altar of a pool table where the boys can worship. It's okay, no real beer on the taps, but the Guinness goes down a treat. We're still in two minds about this one, but we'll give it the benefit of the doubt for now. Oh, and it's also a pilgrimage site for Iron Maiden fans as they apparently got their start there - now that is local history!
