Casa Blue, Shoreditch
FancyaPint?'s review...
Sitting at the end of Brick Lane, almost opposite the 24 hour bagel shops, the scruffy, bohemian allure of Casa Blue stands out from it's rather dull neighbours. Inside, this is a busy, messy place, strewn with couches and Hoxton types reclining in them. There isn't a lot of space and if you don't have a seat you'll most likely get in the way of the two waitresses who spend their time dashing about encouraging people to buy mojito fishbowls. The less said about the toilets the better, but the service was good and the atmosphere fun; they tolerated us, so all credit to them. They apparently serve Moroccan food earlier in the evening, but we didn't arrive in time to witness it, and a late licence takes you somewhere past the witching hour, depending on the night. Not a bad one for a few late night drinks, but watch out for the crowds towards the end of the week.
