Castle, Battersea
FancyaPint?'s review...
The modern and stripped out approach must be working for Young's - at least to some extent - or they wouldn't keep doing it. This is another example of their current campaign to move away from traditional pubs and into the bar and kitchen arena. The staff are friendly and competent and the beer is well kept, which we expect from a Young's establishment. To be honest, with the stripped floors, pale furniture and white walls, it felt a bit cold when we were in last, the fire in the large fireplace struggling to do more than warm the area immediately in front of it and all the windows around it probably don't help. Although we liked the sound of 'Gourmet Pie Night, the chill and lack of Young's Winter Warmer on the taps meant we didn't linger here.

How to find the Castle pub
From Clapham Junction, exit via the main shopping centre exit, turn left and walk down past The Falcon pub. Turn left here down Falcon Road and keep going. You'll eventually see the pedestrian part of Battersea High Street in front of you, walk down that and then carry on down the next section of Battersea High Street where you'll find the pub.
