Chapter One, Finsbury Park
our final review

After being greeted at Finsbury Park station by a teenager in a baseball cap hitting the walls with a large stick, it was a pleasant experience to finally arrive at Chapter One. What we found on a Friday night within its bright red walls were a youngish crowd enjoying an eclectic mix of tunes in one of the area's few attempts at a bar rather than a pub. It does a pretty good job of keeping the residents of N4 happy with DJ's and live music every weekend, a late licence and plenty of comfy seating. The food menu varies daily and is available from early evening during the week and 3pm on weekends Although its own Web site claims it to be "no ordinary bar" there is nothing spectacularly different about it. Perhaps around here it stands out, and worth a visit if you're local, but we wouldn't go out of our way.

That's not the end of the story - tell us what you know about this pub
This pub is no longer open, but that doesn't mean we're not interested in it any more. If you have anything to tell fancyapint.com readers about this pub, let us know using the comments below, or via email to editor@fancyapint.com. It might be something about its history, an anecdote about the past, what the future plans are for it, or even it's reopened again as a pub - it has been known to happen.
Take the Stroud Green Road exit from Finsbury Park and walk for about 8-10 minutes. The pub is on the left side of the street, just before the crossroads.
