Perhaps not as stately as the Regency architecture which surrounds it, this is still quite a cosy little boozer with a pleasant air. Having just been refurbished, it's a lot lighter and brighter inside than one initially expects, and to be honest, there aren't a lot of original features left. It attracts strong support from the local rugby club and there's an emphasis on sports coverage. The menu's now basic and reasonably priced Thai food. The only real ale on tap was Bombardier when were last in with a selection of continental lagers to go with it. If the sight of too many joggers in Regent's Park is driving you to drink, this one is a handy port of call.
