Churchill Arms, Notting Hill
FancyaPint?'s review...
One of the great pubs in London and it's been consistently one of the greats for a long, long time. You get a good pint of Fullers, one of the best pints of Guinness around town, traditional food and one of the first (if not the first) pubs to serve Thai food. Eclectic decoration and winner of the 'Boozers on Bloom' award, a mixed clientele and a genial landlord go together to make one of the best pubs in London. And they keep winning awards, receiving Fuller's coveted Griffin Award for the third time and Stella's "Love Your Local" award. The only downside, if there is one, is that so many people have cottoned on to the Churchill, that it gets very crowded, especially if you want to eat. Still, if they're open, what are you hanging around for?

Yesterday I spent an all too brief couple of hours at the Churchill Arms. This is easily one of London's 10 best pubs. The beer is consistently well served, the thai food is great value, there is a real buzzy atmosphere and if you can grab a seat, there is some great people-watching to be had. Wish some other publicans would pay a visit and try to reproduce the experience in their own places.

Favourite London pub. Friendly staff, football on the telly and you could spend hours studying the memorabilia, including loads devoted to County Clare GAA.

great pub, it looks good and serves great beer and food. It gets very lively and is open a bit later at the weekends. It does get a bit crowded at times but that is a sign how good it is.
