In spite of the reputed £32m spent on buying the site at the top of the property bubble, nothing much has been done, probably as there aren't enough yuppies left who are able to drop 250k to live in pokey one-bedroomed flats with marginal river views. That said, this is clearly still a going concern. Shame, however, that the current owners do not feel the same way - a good scrub and a coat of paint would not go amiss. On the last visit the toilets reeked and I counted 21 fruit flies on one wall by the bar. This lack of care is evident. Oh, and if you are driving in for a swift one, watch out for the fascistic car parking policy.
