If you go into a Nicholson's pub and don't find an opulent Victorian interior, you should be disappointed. But don't worry, you definitely won't be disappointed here - the fixtures and fittings are everything you would expect of the brand and if that's all you're looking for you'll be happy here. Owing to its prime location, the clientele can be unpredictable: it can be crowded with tourists and after work drinkers - usually Friday nights - or occupied by a few regulars and shoppers. The food's decent, with service both downstairs and in the upstairs Liberty Bar; the upstairs is almost exclusively dining now, which meant it was empty when we were in on a Friday night. The fare is Nicholson's so expect a good range of beers on the hand pumps, well kept and well served. You can even try the beer before you buy in their "Sip before you sup" promotion - very nice. The only fault we could find was its popularity, but that's probably not a surprise.

Best pub of our Soho tour.
Nicholson's put on some fantastic beers. The red Moor was the best pint in our tour of Soho. I think they had 8 real ales on tap and all quirky, tasty and well kept. Some of the ales we knew (such as Doom Bar). We got a table in this busy pub (probably by chance) as we were 9 people. Beer / pub was so good - people wanted to stay for an extra pint

It was a Thursday pm @ 7pm and was suitably busy.

We loved this boozer
