Renamed, refitted and relaunched, this one's now a far different proposition than the pub London's cycle couriers used to pile into. Bar and restaurant on the ground floor, dining room on the first, we'll pop back in soon for a closer look.

Not a review more of an update.

Is now called the "Clerk & Well". Painted white on the outside, big menus on tables. All looks a bit 'cleaner', 'brighter' and - you guessed it duller.

My parents Robert and Winnie Price used to own the Duke of York Pub in the 60's and 70's and I worked there. We had many a happy night with the piano going and everyone singing, nothing like today, but if any of the "old" still frequent the pub and remember me June Price I would love to hear from them here in Australia.
