Clock House, East Dulwich

We recently moved to the area and were delighted to find such a nice pub two minutes walk from our flat.
However, after a few visits we are so very bored with the place. The menu doesn't change and the food they do have is pretty bad: the calamari is tough, the pasta is dull, the caesar salad does not have croutons and the crab cakes were so small I thought it was a joke.
The plus points of the pub are the location and being truly dog friendly.
Other bad points include the smelly toilets, considering the pub is never very busy you'd think the staff could manage to put a bit of bleach down the loos once in a while. And last time we went there were fruit flies everywhere.
The main problem with this place is that the management feels it is too good to play football but does not have the food or ambience to back this up.

Popped in for old-times-sake on a Sunday afternoon. The general ambience doesn't seem to have changed much since the 'Tick-Tock' opened 40 years ago. We didn't eat, but the Ordinary was in good order, and my daughter thought their wine choice was excellent; and they still had the water bowls down for the dogs! It's still not a bad place to sit out, look over the rye, and just watch life (and the buses) pass you by.

I echo what MikeSE22 said - while the beer's still OK, the staff aren't as knowledgeable as they were before. I don't expect to have to explain what a light and bitter is to bar staff in a Young's pub, to be honest. Posh Wetherspoons is about right. Definitely not a four-star pub.
