The Coach and Horses is a fine traditional pub, and has been for a number of years, a cut above most of the tourist-oriented offerings in these parts. There are a couple of ales on the hand pumps and, as there's an Irish theme here, a good drop of the back stuff. In addition to the booze, jolly good beef, salt beef and sausage sandwiches are available should you feel peckish. It's a friendly, welcoming place, but it's also rather small, so it fills up pretty quickly, especially immediately after work.

Have been going in here for a year or two ,following a recommendation from a barman in waxie oconnors, noticing i like a properly pulled pint of the black stuff ! Run superbly by Jim Ryan and with fantastic staff in michael and sean this is now my london "local" if thats ok with the real locals ! Great guinness and have tasted worse in dublin, where i live, and super sandwiches and a real pub atmosphere devoid of the noise of tv,fruit machines and loud piped music so typical of an "english " and may i add many pubs in dublin too . When you go in you hear the noise of people talking and just making friends and i am glad to say i count many of the regulars as friends now! Roy and mick to name a few and not forgetting "bonesey" my latest pal . One of the best pubs i have been in, anywhere . Long may it continue !

One of the best, if not the best traditional pubs in London. Fantastic staff and clientele. Michael the barman has got to one of the most efficient barmen in the whole of London. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. You must also try their famous hot salt beef, roast beef or roast gammon rolls - they're the best!

A 3 star review is particularly stingy as this is far and away the best pub in Covent Garden by a country mile. The best pint of Guinness in London is good enough reason to go but they do great lunchtime food, the staff are friendly, professional and serve quickly and it has the proper ambience of a "front room" boozer. I can only assume the original reviewer prefers wine bars.

this is without doubt my favourite pub when in london .as a guinness drinker it has a fantastic pint ,pulled properly and served properly without any concession towards those who want an instant pint so common in many pubs even in dublin where i live . despite the real english sounding name its a very friendly pub with great staff and a great gaffer who welcome all comers . i love the " no football or sporting colours policy " and it does fantastic sandwiches made on the spot . do yourself a favour and pay this homely and friendly pub a visit soon !!!
