Coach & Horses, Leyton
The Coach and Horses is a traditional style pub and one of the closest watering holes to Leyton Orient football ground. As you can imagine, it gets pretty busy on match days, but the crowd of (predominantly) away fans is usually good-natured. At other times you'll find a surprisingly large pub with an older group of regulars, propped up around the attractive sweeping circular bar. Elsewhere is the usual swirly carpet and bench seating befitting of this kind of pub, along with a larger room at the back, presumably used for functions. The ceiling is covered with scores of flags, which, come Christmas time, get replaced with a mass of Christmas decorations instead. On the drinks front its pretty unexciting, but there are regular food and drink offers to take advantage of. Either way, it's worth popping in, whether or not you're off to see the O's in action.

No tariff displayed, and if you are visiting Orient Football Ground, you will be charged more than the regulars. The toilets are appalling, and often you can smell the drains wafting through the bar. In urgent need of a makeover and decent management wouldn't go amiss.

The only possible reason you would want to visit this pub is because it is 2 minutes away from Orient's ground (but if I'd have known they now sell beer in the away end I wouldn't have bothered). Terrible decor, threadbare dirty carpets, disgusting toilets and the worst pint of lager I've had in years

Full disclosure: I am an Orient supporter. That said, the Coach & Horses is a fine traditional pub -- just like your granddad sank pints in. Friendly staff and the blokes playing snooker are always up for a chat about football.
