The Coach and Horses is a traditional style pub and one of the closest watering holes to Leyton Orient football ground. As you can imagine, it gets pretty busy on match days, but the crowd of (predominantly) away fans is usually good-natured. At other times you'll find a surprisingly large pub with an older group of regulars, propped up around the attractive sweeping circular bar. Elsewhere is the usual swirly carpet and bench seating befitting of this kind of pub, along with a larger room at the back, presumably used for functions. The ceiling is covered with scores of flags, which, come Christmas time, get replaced with a mass of Christmas decorations instead. On the drinks front its pretty unexciting, but there are regular food and drink offers to take advantage of. Either way, it's worth popping in, whether or not you're off to see the O's in action.

Full disclosure: I am an Orient supporter. That said, the Coach & Horses is a fine traditional pub -- just like your granddad sank pints in. Friendly staff and the blokes playing snooker are always up for a chat about football.
