College Arms, Walthamstow
FancyaPint?'s review...
Pleasant enough, but we reckon it gets busy at weekends. There's a fairly standard pub grubbe menu, the one ale was off on our last vist, friendly staff, a cute pub dog as well as a pub cat in the garden! The clientele seems to largely be local workers and students from the nearby college, but they're easy-going enough. There's a fairly standard pub grub menu, but nothing to write home about. As there's a dearth of pubs on this stretch near Waltham Forest Town Hall, you're hardly spoilt for choice - you could do a lot worse!

Wouldn't stop in this pub if it was the last watering hole in the Sahara! Been taken over by a holding company we think and it shows, unfortunately when this happens the managers adopt a 'couldn't care less attitude' and it shows! The only customers we saw were a group of 'clicky' regulars that didn't seem to want us in their pub! Their new food offering was 'Lebanosh'!!! Not sure whSteve gave them the idea for such a seedy name but thats exactly what it was, scraping the bottom of the barrel! Do yourself a favour and walk that extra few minutes to the village and have a much better choice of pubs and eateries!

How to find the College Arms pub
From Walthamstow Central: try to take the right-hand exit from the station and head up the ramp. Cross Selborne Road at the lights, past The Goose, turning left into Hoe Street and carry on up the road. At the top of Hoe Street, opposite the Bell, turn right and the pub is a short distance ahead on the left.
