As the Camden Arms, this back-street Camden pub slowly sank from our consciousness, being as it was a rather forlorn and gloomy place. However, with new owners and a new name the future is looking very rosy. The bar was repositioned to create a better space and the décor is decent – distressed pub furniture and good lighting. The drink choice is pretty good, with a couple of ales to choose from (more promised) and a strangely large selection of Gin, now complete with some excellent Sloe Gin. Food is also a strong point, judging from the succulent and well priced lamb burger we’ve tried. From our half dozen visits the service is really friendly although somewhat scatty at times, while the owners are great, seemingly keen to listen to suggestions. Add a late licence (without the bother that places closer to Camden sometimes suffer from) plus outdoor spaces at both the front and back, and the pub becomes highly recommended. Oh, for those who are interested, Lieutenant-Colonel Fawcett was brought here in 1873 after the last fatal duel to be fought in England and died upstairs from the wound inflicted by his brother-in-law.

I went last night for a friend's birthday, they gave us a free bottle of prosecco! The bar staff were good looking and really welcoming. The decor out and in was amazing. The garden area at the front was good for the smoking friends. Dj was playing good music too. Will be going back soon.

Went to the opening last night and had an amazing night. Friendly atmosphere, great drinks selection, fab looking pub, lovely garden and some quality choons to dance to. Everything you want from a fab night out in Camden. Can't wait to have a party here and introduce this fave new watering hole to all my mates.
