We've not been back to this one for a while and have discovered another gentrification project has taken place, making it much more modern and bar-like. The slightly cosy bar at the front has comfy sofas as well as tables for lounging and what we discovered was the piece de resistance, a table with it's own beer taps! Obviously aimed at parties and organised groups, it was an object of wonder to us. It's far more upmarket than it used to be, but not bad. Doom bar hadn't settled when we were in so Directors had to do. We'd far rather the landlord treated the beer well than serve something that isn't suitable, so full marks there. There's also a good-sized restaurant at the back, for those more interested in eating.

Apparently now closed see Telegraph website 26/10/12 showing picture of The Cross keys boarded up. Such a shameful end for such a great pub with history.

How to find the Cross Keys pub

Exit tube, cross Sloane Square, and head down the King's Road. After about 15 mins walk, look for Bramerton St. on your left. Head down there and keep following the turning of the road to your right. That way you should hit Lawrence St.
