Crown & Cushion, Lambeth
FancyaPint?'s review...
Having had a facelift on the outside - it's no longer that hideous yellow - the Crown and Cushion is a reliable Irish pub. Inside, the walls are covered with Irish ephemera (road signs, tankards etc.). This is a decent pub, though, with good draught beer (slightly unusual for an Irish pub - it's usually John Smith's and Guinness) and a relaxed vibe. There's pretty good value food on offer, but we didn't eat on this last visit. To be honest, it hasn't changed in years. Worth a look if you're nearby.

Nice, pleasant, workaday pub. Good beer prices. Tasty Thai food. Do good chips and standard English fare, too. I go here after work in the evening to watch the football (3 high quality screens). Stay away during big matches if you don't like football as it dominates the atmosphere.(The sound usually goes down straight after.)

was in this pub on Sunday 15/03/2009.the john smiths Cold was good and the Thai food was delicious. Two TV's on the go showing two different games was a bit off putting, but the crowd, mostly locals I reckon, seemed a decent bunch. All in all not an unpleasant experience.
