Crown & Goose, Camden
FancyaPint?'s review...
The interior of the Crown & Goose is of the now-traditional stripped out variety, featuring some bold colours. As it's a smallish place it feels reasonably cosy as well as cool. We visited on a Saturday night and it was rammed, but with a friendly crowd. Drinks-wise a selection of the usual lagers was available and one real ale on tap, a decent pint of Adnam's. The place has undergone some gastro-isation, a room at the back of the bar seemed to be more for eating. We didn't try the food but have heard it's good. Whilst we started drinking outside, later on when we moved inside, the staff impressed us by escorting our drinks inside and informing us with a smile of their exact new location on the bar. A small part of the ceiling fell off at some point in the evening, presumably it was completely plastered. Overall, one of Camden's better pubs and worth a visit for a fun night out or quieter drink in the afternoon.

Wanted to update you guys as far as I'm aware the Crown & Goose is no longer facing closure/destruction... in fact, it's thriving... lovely (and beautiful!!) staff, and some great offerings coming out of that kitchen. Best pub in Camden, if not the solar system...
