Devonshire Arms, Piccadilly
FancyaPint?'s review...
Given the Devonshire Arms' location just off Piccadilly Circus, it could be terrible here. Sure, its often filled with hordes of tourists but doesn't feel as transitory as other nearby places. Having received a recent refurbishment, its been cleaned up a bit and the formerly unloved upstairs has been improved. Overall its clean and pub-like but nothing outstanding. Shame though that the new large awnings outside (presumably catering for the smokers) block out some much needed light in what is quite a dingy street. Service can be rather hit or miss, too. Never mind though: a couple of ales and reasonable pub grub make this a suitable place to meet up, preferably before moving on somewhere else.

How to find the Devonshire Arms pub
From Piccadilly Circus tube, try to find the exit onto Glasshouse Street (possibly the exit leading to the North Side of Regent Street). On Glasshouse Street take the right onto Sherwood Street and the pubs on the right.
