Unbelievable range of ales served by personable and unobtrusive staff who know what they're talking about - also stocks trad English Ales like Hogs Back TEA as well as a panoply (look it up) of Belgian beers.
The absolute definition of a hidden gem, if you like beer and are anywhere near the area you absolutely must hunt it out and enjoy the tense 15 minutes at the bar deciding what to drink!

We've stopped in the Dog and Bell a couple of times recently as part of long walks along the river. The selection of ales is great and the atmosphere very friendly and relaxed. We'll definitely be back again soon.
