Definitely a locals pub, this (slightly grotty) corner pub is still friendly enough. The public bar was lively, with a high percentage of OAPs last time we were in. It does a reasonable pint of Guinness, but that's about it. It's one of those pubs where the bar staff avoid eye contact if you're not a regular. They don't really feel comfortable about you being there, but they're not hostile either.

Lovely cosy pub. Went there on a Saturday night as didn't want loud nosy bar in Shepards Bush. Bar staff we friendly and got the traditional english pub experience. Drank only, no idea what food would be like. Probably not an eating place.

How to find the Duke of Edinburgh pub

Leave Shepherd's Bush tube and cross the road immediately. Head towards the big roundabout (away from the Green), but before you get to it go down the ramps on your right to Richmond Way/Woodstock Grove. You should see the pub in front of you.
