Toynbee Street isn't the most well-loved location in town, and perhaps the Duke of Wellington may not be in its heyday, but if you find yourself in this neck of the woods then there is a fairly decent boozer to frequent. There does seem to be an inordinate amount of pumps dispensing Fosters, though you've got two real ales too. You'll either find a few suits from nearby offices or a splattering of locals depending on when you visit, with entertainment provided by the TV, jukebox or dartboard. What we found slightly off-putting is the screen directly ahead of the door showing CCTV images from around the pub, but it could be useful to locate your friends when it's busy.

I absolutely love this place. The Duke is a proper pub, something of a rarity in this area. Plenty of good draught beer, sport on TV, dart boards and even a rather fetching outside garden to enjoy any blamy evenings we may have left this year. What's not to like....??!
