On our last visit to this one, we found yet another old style boozer which was pleasant and welcoming. We're finding Acton seems to be divided between gastrobars and traditional pubs, an interesting division in itself. It's pleasant enough, if a bit quiet on our last visit - we actually thought it was shut. Not one we'd go out of our way for, but in no way a bad place. It gets more lively in the evenings, we understand, with karaoke on offer. The pint of Mild we had was well kept, keeping company with Gale's Best. Nothing on the pumps, but that could just be our timing was off.

Great pub, was there a couple of weeks back. There is new management now and they have live music there every now and then. Coming Saturday the 22nd of May they have Live Jazz from 8pm onwards. You may have heard of the modern jazz saxophonist Andrew Mckay and his quartet before and now he is back at the Duke. Would be great to see you there on the night. I will be there :)

From Acton Central train station, turn left and walk to the end of Churchfield Road. When you reach the end, turn right onto Horn Lane and you'll see it on the left soon enough. From Acton Town tube, turn right, walk to the end of Gunnersbury Lane and after a minute or so on the High Street turn left onto Steyne Road. The pub will be on the right, almost behind Morrisons
