Elbow Rooms (Swiss Cottage), St. John's Wood

A rather ugly 60s concrete former Barclays Bank building has proven to be a rather good home for one of the better Elbow Room pool bars. Neither crampt, nor swarming with huge groups of young lager lads who plague the Islington branch, the vibe is mellow and relaxed. With four pool tables spread liberally over three floors there's also plenty of good seating too, making it seem more of a bar with pool tables, rather than the other way round. The food was pretty good, too. To top it off, it's open until midnight every night and 1am on the weekends. Not bad for the area.
