Elephant & Castle, Kennington
FancyaPint?'s review...
Apparently, this place rests on the site of a 16th century playhouse. Sadly, there is no visible trace of its heritage. These days, the pub sits plumb on the Elephant junction that's famous for being more congested than John Candy's arteries. Therefore, the outdoor terrace offers prime position for traffic-watching and a spot of carbon monoxide. That said, it didn't put off several punters on our visit (must be the magic of cheap beer). The pub is vast inside and serves average beer and Thai food.
