Trendy bar and restaurant replacing the Taybridge. Pleasant enough, and friendly enough, too. Drink selection is pretty good, including a couple of real ales and a selection of bottled beer from around the world, and there's table service when the place isn't so busy. They do show major sporting events, but we'd hardly call it a sports bar. From what we can see, it's an improvement on the Taybridge and there's very little sign that anyone's mourning the change. We'll be back.

Since the Taybridge changed ownership, the pub has improved no end. A friendly atmosphere is combined with good food and a nice selection of entertainment. Thursday nights pub quiz has gained quite a following, and has the perfect balance of fun and competition but the highlight for me is personally the All You Can Eat Breakfasts. Every Saturday and Sunday morning the pub plays host to a fine buffet breakfast where quality, quantity and value combine with a Bloody Mary for the best breakfast in the area.
