Enterprise, Holborn
FancyaPint?'s review...
A lick of paint (gastro green, naturally) and a bit of care and attention and the Enterprise is a revived pub. Cask Marque ales are on offer, there's plenty of choice for those who don't fancy something pumped by hand, there's a beer garden out the back and comfy settees for those who prefer not to perch on bar stools. The grub is refreshingly unpretentious but only served lunchtimes and early evening. The new look certainly seems to have brought in the punters: the disco ball may not go with the old Victorian tiling but this one works all the same. It also now opens on Saturdays: the classical music on the CD player creating a pleasant atmosphere for an afternoon pint or three.

Popped in for a quick pint after work on a Friday afternoon. A smart and tidy pub offering three ales from Purity (sampled - well kept) and two from Sharps including the dreaded "doombar" which spreads like a disease throughout the capitals pubs or so it seems. The menu including cheese did look enticing and i was almost tempted to try. Overall though this is a disappointment because the beer prices are rather steep (£4 for a session beer???) and the ambience rather uncomfortable thanks to shouty annoying office types and horrendous "muzak" being belted out for only who knows benefit. Overall this pub doesnt do anything different to the majority of others and so i cant say i would rush back in a hurry.
