Ferry Boat Inn, Tottenham
FancyaPint?'s review...
Tottenham Hale isn't famous for its quality drinking establishments, so to find a pretty country pub a stones throw from an ugly retail complex in this most urban of areas must be more than a relief to the locals. The stone-floored building dates back a couple of hundred years and overlooking an impressively large reservoir you'd be hard pushed to find a more pleasant setting. Inside its not exactly olde worlde, but the original fireplace and some of the beams remain. There's adequate service an overall feel of individuality. There's a heavy focus on (reasonably priced) food, but a couple of real ales and a fair wine list will keep the more discerning drinkers happy. If you fancy a walk along the Lee Valley Nature walk then this is the perfect spot to come afterwards to recharge your batteries.

How to find the Ferry Boat Inn pub
From Tottenham Hale station, turn left onto Ferry Lane. The pub is 10 minutes walk on the left (at the start of the reservoirs). The 123 and 230 buses can be caught from outside the station for a couple of stops.
