The large pub with an impressive beer garden has been refurbished and changed from a John Barras pub, to 'Flaming Grill' steakhouse pub. Saying that its still owned by Punch, which means its a surprise this large piece of land hasn't been sold off yet for 'redevelopment opportunities'. We'll be back to see what we think of it soon.

This oldish pub is alas some years from it's 1998-2002 heyday and seems to had various incarnations since then. It remains however a decent and comfortable local, though it tends to be less relaxing at weekends. The staff are young and cheerful(with one exception) while the range of beers are always well kept and by far the cheapest in the area.
The less said about the food however, the better.
