Small suburban pub that from the outside looks like it hasn't changed in years. Not much room inside though (especially with half the pub given over to a small dining area) but the bar staff were pleasant and up for a chat. The separate billiard-style room for the pool table completes the old fashioned feel. On our visit an easygoing air pervaded, with dog walking locals stopping by for a pint and a chinwag. We've heard a frostier reception can be had though.

How to find the Fox & Duck pub

The nearest train station tube is Richmond, but as Ham is a good 25-30 minute walk from there it's hardly close. Your best bet is probably to head to the river from Richmond tube then head left along the riverside or Petersham Road. Either that or get the foot ferry from Twickenham. Once in Ham, you'd best get the A-Z out.
