Gloucester Arms, Kentish Town
FancyaPint?'s review...
There aren't too many pubs like this these days. The Gloucester is a dyed-in-the-wool Irish locals' place, that hasn't been refurbished, trendified or given the Paddywhackery makeover. On our visit, the air was full of thick Irish accents and there wasn't a woman in the place, apart from the one behind the bar (and Dolly Parton on the jukebox). This sort of pub obviously has a limited appeal, but if you fancy a no-frills jar or two, do give it a try.
