This famous old pub is trying very hard to deny its roots, now much more bar than pub, despite the rather nice Victorian exterior. There's lots of pretty coloured drinks on shelves, you get your change on a tray, a napkin under your pint and higher than average priced booze (for the area) - this isn't one for real ale buffs - nothing on tap but lager, Hoegaarden & Guinness. The bright young things who frequent this place, who come here to see and be seen, and the cocktail menu suggests who it's really aiming at...
