A refit in the last little bit has left this pub feeling a bit empty inside. Shame really, as we wanted to like this pub, but found it a bit too much of a locals pub. There was no real ale and we didn't honestly stick around very long.

A tad pretentious. The ales are indifferent and not always that well kept. More of a "gastro pub" than a pub with a clientele to match.

Not sure when the last reviewer attended but as of Spring 2014, the Grafton is thriving after its refit last year. There are always at least five real ales on tap, which change fairly regularly - the Tim Taylor's Landlord is always well kept. The pub is busy with a good buzz of conversation but getting a seat - even on a Thursday evening - is not usually a problem. The food is impressive (enjoyed a good family Sunday lunch about six months ago) and reasonably priced but it is still a pub rather than a gastropub. Highly recommended in an area blessed with many other decent pubs. Give it a go: if you don't like it, there's the Oxford Arms, The Lion and Unicorn, Tapping the Admiral and the Camden Town Brewery all within a five minute stroll. No pool table or telly any more - just happy punters!
