The Great Harry is named after an historic warship from Woolwich's finer days (about five hundred years ago). Nowadays, the flag of J D Wetherspoon flies above her namesake in the heart of Woolwich, and it's strictly landlubbers aboard this boozer. You know the formula: cheap drink in a big bar drawing a mix of locals, so it's not the most characterful of pubs.

Unfortunately this pub was completely burnt out during the rioting in Woolwich in August 2011 and is currently boarded up.
