Change of landlord, change of name, and more focus as a bar that serves decent beer. It doesn't have the 300 bottles of European beers, but there's still a small selection of Belgian, German and Czech beers to choose from to compliment the two hand pumps with Dark Star beers on them. Perhaps in line with the name of the place, and with Budvar and Budvar Dark on the taps, they're also offering a unique 'Half and Half' drink, which is half Dark and half normal Budvar - we haven't tried it, so we can't comment at this point. While still more of a bar than a pub, the new incarnation is warmer than the previous version - which is good - and appears to be getting the punters in. They're working hard to make this one a goer and it's always good to see enthusiasm behind the bar. We've got high hopes for this one and hope they can keep standards up.

Graham has moved on and the bar has been converted fromspecalist beers to a standard 'smart' lounge bar, but take off your brogues and barbor and give it a try
