The Hanover's a big, noisy, uncomplicated place. Perfectly well suited for a Saturday afternoon reading the Sun and watching the big screen sport over a pint or two. There would appear to be one or two characters among the clientele, including one fellow at the table next to us with a stock of Shane McGowan anecdotes (and they're just what you'd imagine they'd be).
