Haverstock Arms, Primrose Hill
FancyaPint?'s review...
When gastropubs invade an area, where do the displaced drinkers go? The answer is usually somewhere like the Haverstock Arms. This kind of straightforward beer / TV / grub place is the yang to the gastro ying. On our visit at Sunday lunchtime, a good crowd were enjoying their beer, and watching football and horse racing on the TVs. A decent menu offered roasts, sandwiches and puddings for under a fiver, and we enjoyed a tasty sausage and mash. Being an Irish pub, the Guinness was also excellent.
