Hayfield, Stepney
our final review

Anyone familiar with the Scream chain will not find any surprises here. Notwithstanding that this was once a good, honest boozer, judging on current merits its OK. Pretty bright and garish inside, it benefits from a large space and no fewer than four pool tables. Weekends offer a late licence and a DJ, aiming at trendy (and not-so-trendy) young Whitechapel locals. The beer is certainly unexceptional but the atmosphere was lively enough and the punters, although exuberant, were pretty friendly. Certainly nowhere to go out of your way for, if you're in the mood for a fun, loud time it might fit the bill.
Closed - it's going to become the Hayfield Masala restaurant.
