The Highgate Inn, with its narrow frontage, is easy to miss along the busy Archway Road. An old Irish shop conversion pub it has made a decent attempt to attract a new younger crowd without alienating the old regulars. So at the back you'll find a few couches and fairy lights, while there is Indian food available - a change from the usual Thai. Trouble is that the place has that definite aroma of curry, which rather made it feel less like a pub. Drinks-wise, there's a standard selection of lager, alongside a lone ale, which was decently kept. Probably the biggest negative was that our visit coincided with a West Ham match, from which there was no escape. Every corner of the pub featured a screen and compared to the amount of people there, it almost equated to one screen per person. Certainly, if you're into you footy this might well be the place to come.

Love the food here great Sunday lunch, great selection of Whiskey and wine at great prices. Personally not a footie fan prefer the Irish Crack and the bar man makes sure everyone is looked after.
