Fancyapint hit the nail on the head with its review in 2010 that the pub was going places and now it has arrived. A constantly rotating battalion of cask conditioned treats (including brews from the likes of Brodie's, Oakham, Thornbridge, et al.) are backed up by all-too-rarely-spotted keg offerings from other micros and a well curated bottled beer list. Service is unfailingly friendly and the mixed clientele gives it real charm as a genuine local haunt. Decent sandwiches (pulled pork, roast beef, etc.) offer welcome ballast, allowing a sustained perusal of the beers. A choice place for a pint.

I had to agree with reviewer's 'The exterior might appear somewhat homespun' but the exterior has just been redone and it has made a massive improvement. The bar (and prices) is as good as ever inside. Top notch.
