Hubbub, Docklands
FancyaPint?'s review...
A former Victorian chapel built for the shipworkers who came down from Scotland to work on the Great Eastern; this one's now an arts centre (The Space) and Hubbub - a small bar located upstairs at the back of the building. It's a cosy, gas-lit place with decent food and a good range of drinks - wines, spirits cocktails and coffees, although there are no real ales on the pumps (only Guinness, Kronenbourg and Fosters, but there are bottled ales). On previous visits, we've seen young and older Docklanders in comfy chairs, wining and dining to a Coltrane jazz odyssey. In an otherwise dull - and dry - location, you can see why they come here.
