This place is apparently up for sale at the moment and it shows. The paintwork on the outside is flaking off whilst the filthy toilets boast a leaky ceiling. The tepid pop music being played during our visit did nothing to detract from the sense that this is a pub living on borrowed time. It's a shame that such a promising location is not being put to better use as this place has lots of potential. Let's hope things improve soon.
now it's a block of flats - another wasted opportunity.

North End Way, Hampstead, London, NW3 7ES
From the tube, turn right and walk up the hill on Heath Street. On reaching the pond at the intersection, cross over to the far side and you will see the pub on the left.
