Jolly Brewers, Parsons Green
our final review

Everyone told us this was a horrible pub with a few miserable old men in it, but it's not. It really isn't. It's a small, smoky, old-fashioned pub to be sure, but it's not unfriendly and it's cheaper than other pubs nearby. It has a food, a darts board and a popular pub quiz (on a Saturday, we believe) and is busy with locals, larking around the traditional central bar. Because it's a proper local pub, of course, newcomers might cause a raised eyebrow or two, but so what?

2 St Dionis Road, Parsons Green, London, SW6 4TT
Take the Parson's Green Lane exit (nearest the ticket machine) from Parsons Green tube and turn right. At the mini roundabout at the corner of the Green, follow the road you're on around the edge and in a minute or two, you'll find St Dionis Rd running off to the right, down by the side of St Dionis church.
