Jolly Butchers, Enfield
FancyaPint?'s review...
A refurbishment of this once grand old traditional pub finished a short while ago and despite initial evidence to the contrary, it's still a traditional - albeit improved - pub. A profusion of dark wood has been tempered with some striking flock wallpaper and you can see inside far better than before, making a speculative drink here for more sensitive locals less intimidating. Our Sunday evening visit found unobtrusive sport on the telly, a group enjoying the darts board and the usual compliment of McMullen's ales. As local pubs go, this one isn't bad at all.
