With the horrible Base Bar gone, it has been replaced with Kimos, apparently a West Indian restaurant. Superficially the decor looks pretty much unchanged. Next time we're in the area we'll go and see if you can buy a drink there - and therefore see if it still merits inclusion on Fancyapint.

How to find the Kimos (ex-Base Bar) pub

From Stoke Newington train station, take a left down Stamford Hill towards Stokey - it's more or less opposite the Three Crowns, at the bottom of Church Street. Also on the 149, 243, 76, 67, 73 and 476 bus routes. Nearest tube stations: Manor House and Highbury and Islington, although both of these are a fair old walk.
