Shut for what seemed like an eternity, the King's Head reopened a few months ago. We popped in on a quiet Sunday shortly after it opened and found it a pleasant enough place, if somewhat quiet. As such, now its had time to settle down, we need go back soon to get a better feel for the place.

The King's Head is now open. Haven't been in yet but early indicators are that the new company have done a good job. Apparently there is a boat hanging from the ceiling in the back bar. Also know that Theakston's XB is served. Visiting soon, I let you know.

The Kings Head is supposed to be reopening in November 2010 - builders have been in there since July. A new company is sticking to the hotel, restaurant & bar idea that was approved by the council earlier this year.
