Latymers, Brook Green
FancyaPint?'s review...
Though maybe not the first pub in London to have its own Thai restaurant, Latymers is certainly one of the best, both for quality, service and value for money. The pub itself is late 80s modern and a bit too shiny for our liking (it replaced the Red Cow where the Jam and the Stranglers first played London, and was also the 'local' in the Sweeney) but the beer is always very well looked after and the service is excellent. It also has a nice relaxed atmosphere on weekends, being far enough away from Hammersmith station to avoid concertgoers, even with the footy on the tellies. But the food is the real draw - if you want to make your eye brows sweat, make sure you order the Homok Talay to start. And you might as well wash it down with one of the choice of Fuller's ales on pump, especially as a regular coke was £2.20 on our last visit! We've also decided to give this place another 'pint' due to its consistently excellent food, beer and friendly bar service.
