Leather Bottle, Belvedere
FancyaPint?'s review...
The Leather Bottle is a pleasant, old-fashioned pub: maritime prints, ship models in cases, hanging jugs on the ceiling and a fireplace all give the place a welcoming air. A couple of real ales are available and pub grub is served at mealtimes. The Leather Bottle seems to attract an older group of locals and this mature vibe was reflected in the showing of rugby, not football, on the TV; as for the availability of All Nite Long dietary supplements in the gents' toilets, we couldn't possibly comment. Loos labelled Gulls and Buoys, plus a plastic British bulldog over the fireplace (slogan: friends welcome, relatives by appointment), add a slightly odd flavour to proceedings. It's one of the best pubs in Belvedere, and handy for Lesnes Abbey and the Green Chain Walk, so give it a try if you're in the neighbourhood.

Held our wedding reception in their function room at the beginning of May and it was perfect! Catering was excellent, room and garden fitted all our requirements, a good time was had by all and just needs us to say thanks to all the staff and especially the Landlady Maggie, for making our day so special
