Not many football club bars can claim to also be real ale havens, but in the case of Leyton Orient Supporters Club, it quite rightly jointly won Camra's National Club of the Year in 2008. There are usually four ales on tap, along with a couple of ciders, often from smaller breweries and the cross-section we tried was certainly well kept. The interior is nothing to write home about, being a large open room with modern Travelodge style furniture scattered about, enlivened by O's related bits 'n' pieces. However, the atmosphere is friendly and the service quick, despite the thirsty post-match crowds. Annual membership is £11, but entry is free when there's not a match on. On match days entry will cost you a shiny pound, when accompanied by a member. This part of the world is a bit of a real ale desert so if you happen to find yourself in E10 and can't face cooking lager, then a visit here might just fit the bill.
