Lord Nelson, Brentford
FancyaPint?'s review...
A short walk off the main road away from the lively Globe, the Lord Nelson is a very good example of a friendly backstreet local. A flower covered feast, its location means it relies on people knowing its there and consequently you'll find it has a loyal and regular following. The ales are good and the atmosphere equally so. With the hour getting late on our visit, it was still in full swing, but we couldn't stay as long as we'd hoped; the sign outside saying "French Trained Chef + British Produce = Great Food" is a boast we hope to check out soon. Repeated visits might nudge this up to a four pinter.
